Pointstreak 5050 at the PGA TOUR's 2012 WGC Bridgestone Invitational

Toronto, ON- Northern Ohio Golf Charities and Pointstreak 5050, along with support from the PGA TOUR, joined forces at the 2012 WGC Bridgestone Invitational in early August to successfully introduce Split the Pot with Charity to Northeast Ohio golf fans. By utilizing Pointstreak 5050's electronic raffling platform, which featured stationary selling kiosks as well as mobile  sellers roaming the golf course, golf fans were able to proactively support local charities which enhanced the event's overall fundraising efforts.  

Don Padgett, III, Executive Director of the Bridgestone Invitational stated, "Like other events on the PGA Tour, our event has always prided itself on successfully raising charitable dollars that allows us to give back to the local community.  The addition of the Split the Pot with Charity raffle program to this year's event created additional excitement and offered our fans a direct opportunity to help in our fundraising efforts." 

Since its inception almost 50 years ago, giving back locally has always been a priority for Northern Ohio Golf Charities.  Gini Paige, President of Northern Ohio Golf Charities, said, "Adding Split the Pot With Charity to this year's event allowed us to raise incremental charitable dollars that certainly help in our continued efforts to benefit as many local non-profit groups as possible."   

To enhance the experience and to help keep fans updated on daily raffle progress, Pointstreak 5050 also created a dedicated Split the Pot With Charity microsite.  Golf fans were able to use their smart phones to scan a QR code or use their internet browser to visit the microsite to view real-time raffle updates as well as enter for a chance to win a round of golf at famed Firestone GC.
