Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation Partners With Pointstreak 5050

Washington, D.C. - Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) Foundation has announced that it will team up with Pointstreak 5050 to enhance the Foundation’s community-outreach efforts through an electronic 50/50 raffle system. The partnership allows for an enhanced game-day experience at Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics games. The system will first be incorporated during the Capitals’ and Wizards’ home games for the 2014-15 seasons with proceeds from the raffles benefiting MSE Foundation initiatives.

The Pointstreak 5050 system will enable raffle tickets  to be sold at games through mobile sellers utilizing electronic handheld devices, portable printers and a number of stationary selling terminals throughout Verizon Center. Updated raffle jackpot totals will be displayed in real time on the arena’s main scoreboard and LED ribbon as well as on a dedicated microsite where fans can follow along at home. During each game one fan will be selected to go home with 50% of the net proceeds.

Fans will first have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets at Verizon Center during home games for the Capitals and Wizards.  Upon doors opening, tickets will be sold until the end of the second period for hockey and the end of the third quarter for basketball. Winners will be announced at the 10-minute mark of the third period for hockey and at the beginning of the fourth quarter for basketball. One lucky fan will be chosen during each team’s home games to win half of the evening's net proceeds.
