[July 5th's] 50/50 Raffle, with proceeds benefiting victims of the Yarnell fire, nearly triples previous record of $35,757
PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks set a record [on July 5th] of $100,016 generated in their 50/50 Raffle, supported by Western Refining, during a special Fifth of July Celebration. The previous record of $35,757 was set on Opening Day this season.
The jackpot was split and one lucky fan walked away with $50,008. The remaining $50,008 will benefit the 100 Club of Arizona, American Red Cross, and Phoenix Firefighters Charities. In addition, all 50/50 Raffle proceeds from this weekend will benefit charities in support of the Granite Mountain Hotshot Firefighters and communities affected by the Yarnell fire.

Last season the D-backs generated more than $1,000,000 from the 50/50 raffle in its full inaugural season, with more than $500,000 raised to benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.
Specialized technology allows fans to watch the 50/50 raffle jackpot total on dbTV with up-to-the-second updates on the rapidly rising jackpot. In addition, the 50/50 raffle is available at all D-backs home games this season, and fans can purchase raffle tickets for $2 each, three tickets for $5, seven tickets for $10 and 15 tickets for $20. Tickets are available at any of the four 50/50 raffle kiosks along the concourse or can be purchased from any of the 50/50 raffle team members walking throughout the stadium.
