50/50 Raffle Proceeds from MLB Games Deliver Immense Support for Harvey Relief Efforts

Toronto, ON – September 7, 2017: In the wake of tragedies such as the Hurricane Harvey disaster, sports will always take a back seat.
Even during unfortunate times, sports can still rally people together in promoting support, assistance and positivity. This was on display over the past 10 days at Major League Baseball games, with many fans supporting Harvey relief efforts through 50/50 raffle proceeds.
During the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers from August 29-31, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation raised $372,923 though their raffles and donated half the proceeds towards Harvey relief efforts.

This included a record jackpot of $245,856 on August 30th.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation dedicated their September 6th raffle proceeds during the game between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks towards the relief efforts as well.

The Reds Community Fund also made a donation to the relief efforts from their raffle proceeds.
