Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation Realize Raffle Success During Playoff Run

Toronto, ON – June 14, 2016: 5050 Central would like to congratulate the Pittsburgh Penguins on capturing the 2016 Stanley Cup in 6 games over the San Jose Sharks. The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation also realized tremendous success during the playoffs with their 50/50 raffles at home games using 5050 Central’s electronic real-time raffle system.
Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals at Consol Energy Center saw a Penguins record pot of $130,065 raised by energetic and generous Pittsburgh fans. This amount broke the previous record by over $40,000, which was set in Game 2. The raffles averaged pots of $72,027 in 13 games during the playoffs, including an average of $98,100 over three games of the Finals.
The Foundation recently announced that they will be donating over $1 million raised from 50/50 raffles to over 100 local charities across the Pittsburgh region.
The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation’s mission is to actively promote physical well-being, encourage teamwork, stress the value of education and provide essential life skills to young people in their community through youth hockey and other activities.
