Tampa Bay Lightning's $167K Raffle Sets New Record for U.S. NHL Teams

VANCOUVER, BC - While the Lightning battled the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup finals on Saturday, the Lightning Foundation’s 50/50 raffle reached an astounding $167,435; setting a new record as the highest 50/50 jackpot for a U.S.-based NHL team.

On the ice, the Lightning defeated the Blackhawks in game three with a 3-2 comeback win in the United Center in the battle for the Cup. The Lightning look to take a 3-1 lead with a win in tonight’s game.

Throughout their playoff run, the Tampa Bay Lightning has utilized Pointstreak 5050 technology to provide their fans with an easier, more efficient and more exciting way to purchase 50/50 tickets. This year’s playoff run has seen the Lightning generate jackpots averaging approximately $60,000 per game but Saturday’s $167,435 jackpot far eclipsed their previous record by almost 250 percent.
