TORONTO, ON - The Prince George Cougars in support of the Cougars 50/50 Society has announced that it will team up with Pointstreak 5050 to enhance the Prince George Cougars game day experience through an electronic 50/50 raffle system. The system will be available at the start of the 2014/15 season and proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Cougars 50/50 Society to continue to support programming for youth and other worthy initiatives in Greater Prince George area.
The Pointstreak 5050 system will enable raffle tickets to be sold through mobile sellers utilizing electronic handheld devices, portable printers, and a number of stationary selling terminals around CN Centre. Updated raffle jackpot totals will be displayed in real time in the facility, as well on a dedicated micro-site where fans can follow along at home.
"Our new Pointstreak 5050 system is a cornerstone of our plan to engage fans in the New Ice Age. The system tracks raffle ticket purchases through touch screen kiosks and mobile handheld devices. Every transaction is tallied and updated to the scoreboard and to display areas throughout CN Centre. This is a fun and exciting process that fans will love. Our fans will immediately notice the fast and efficient manner in which their purchase transactions occur. No more tickets to rip, no more confusion over ticket colours to select, and no more pricing decisions based on package choices. Our fans will experience the professional level of service they should expect when they attend a Prince George Cougars regular season or playoff game. We evaluated all the major suppliers of the electronic 50/50 systems. Pointstreak 5050 was the only company capable of meeting our requirements. Their system is independently certified and approved for use by the B.C. Gaming Commission. The system provides an unbelievable enhancement to the fan experience. The Prince George Cougars are proud to provide our fans with the best possible raffle experience." said George Pocock, President Prince George Cougars.
"We are very excited to be partners with the Cougars 50/50 Society. To enhance their continued efforts to make positive impact on the lives of people living in the Prince George region" said Ken Cook, Pointstreak Sports technologies Inc., Chief Operating Officer, "We are not just providing technology; we are also here to assist the Cougars 50/50 Society to maximize their fundraising efforts.
