Peter Luukko & Kevin Lovitt Awarded 2013 Venues Today Hall of Headlines Award

Toronto, ON – Pointstreak 5050’s President, Kevin Lovitt, and Comcast-Spectacor President/COO, Peter Luukko, have been awarded the 2013 Venues Today Hall of Headlines award under the marketing category for bringing Electronic 50/50 Raffles to Philadelphia.
On April 23, the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, playing the Boston Bruins at the Wells Fargo Center, raised $85,000 in a 50/50 raffle and gave half to Boston Strong. The law in Philadelphia did not allow 50/50 raffles worth over $500 when this idea was hatched. Pointstreak and the Flyers worked in concert to get the legislation changed and now it is legal for hockey and basketball in Pennsylvania. The raffles are a game changer, enhancing the fan experience at events.

2013 Venues Today Hall of Headline Awards is an elite group that includes Barclays Center management who turned Brooklyn on its ear to Honda Center management who decided to take concessions inhouse and build a new premium indoor/outdoor, members-only restaurant in Anaheim. Venues Today will be honoring this year's recipients in their upcoming December issue.
